RANDOM SHOTS: Gaston Park glitters with Pasko de Oro Icons

Several uniquely designed Christmas symbols presentations are now on display at Gaston Park in Cagayan de Oro City as part of the government-initiated Pasko de Oro Icons, a contest among the city’s barangays.

More than ten city barangays have so far completed their displays and residents can now visit the park and appreciate the different well-crafted designs.

This one below shows a large gift with several smaller gifts inside.

Here is a Christmas ‘belen’ shaped like a star from Brgy. Gusa.

Here’s another display with several LED lights.

Entry from Barangay 17 shows an arch with a fireplace and chimney setup inside.

Barangay Bayabas is presenting a cartoon-themed Christmas presentation.

This entry below is still partially completed and will have another feature on top.

This one below features a fireplace. Many are still checking the lighting.

Do you see a church?

Here is another beautiful creation featuring candy canes, a manger and star resembling a Christmas tree.

Iponan is going for indigenous materials.

Recycling is this display’s feature with ‘snowmen’ made of plastic cups.

Here’s a giant snowflake.

This is perhaps the tallest display onsite as of last night.

This one is still in the works.
